How do I change a password on a used laptop computer?
The old password has expired and I can't put it a new one until I put the old one in. I bought it used from a company and I contacted them and they said they don't put passwords on them but there was one that was on there and I just bypassed it when using it. Now it is gone and I can't get on. It is on Windows 2000.

- Reinstall the operating system and start fresh. There won't be a password after the re-imaging of the hard-drive.
- reinstall the Operating System
- depend ,,, but here what u have to do,, the easiest thing is to contact the constructor, coz in if its a bios password "ones u get before windows start or ur operatin system" then the solution is to reset the lil bateery on the motherboard, so for this i suggest that u see a tech, but if its a password included in the operatin system u can format the pc easily, if u lost, tell me the model, i tell u what to do
- i only now two way: ask previously owner or reinstall windows
