where can i find a very cheap used or refurbished laptop computers?

it is for a teen that really like to be on the internet for long periods of time buy hates being on the desktop computer.

2. Tell him to GROW UP. A desktop is ALWAYS better and here's why. - for the same money, you get MUCH MORE out of a desktop. A typical $700 desktop is much better than a $1200 laptop in SPEED, Versatility, Expandability, Reliability, View ability, Upgrade ability. Desktops simply don't get stolen, laptops are the most stolen item in America. (drug users steal them to get their next FIX) Desktops don't fall and break, laptops fall from just 8 inches and break. Laptop batteries rarely last more than 2 years, so if the laptop is USED, the $100 batteries are probably already DEAD. If you buy a used laptop, you are probably supporting some drug addict. DON'T. A used laptop is probably USED UP, and not worth a BUCK. Of course, if that kid gets a JOB and earns the money and BUYS one... that will be a life-long lesson. Good luck and Happy Computing!

You really don't want a laptop though, they can easily be stolen, can't be upgraded very easily, plus if it dies, it's not worth fixing and you'd be forced to buy a new one. There's nothing wrong with desktops, but then again, if you want to get it, go for it. You'll realize your mistake later when something happens to it.
