2. If it is factory refurbished I would expect it to be in as-new condition. If some reseller has refurbished it then your guess is as good as mine.
3. I have bought many of them for my family, and they are great. I am using one right now actually. You cannot tell the difference between the new and refurbished ones, they are just like new but at a really good price. The hardware is great from my experience as well.
