- yes unless your modem has wireless built in
- Yes, you must have at least one router which will broadcast your internet wirelessly. Then you can hook as many wireless devices (within reason) to the router to share the internet. If is always best, but not essential to use the same brand of router as the adapters. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Linksys-Wireless-G-Network-Kit-Router-PCMCIA-card_W0QQitemZ310010236075QQihZ021QQcategoryZ40992QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
- yes you need to buy the router to because it needs sometihng to connect to. so al you need to do is get the router for it which sends the internet signal to the adapter, which is on your computer.so get a router absoulutley
- You need a router. Does not need to be a Linksys but Linksys are good.
- A wireless adapter allows your notebook/desktop wireless capabilities. However, you need the following to establish a wireless connection for your laptop: 1) Wireless card/adapter (Which you just purchased) 2) Broadband internet (DSL or cable) 3) Wireless router (to broadcast your signal) After you have all three, establishing a secure, encrypted wireless network should be relatively simple. Just follow the wireless router manufacturer's instructions.
