Refurbished Laptops? Hi, has anyone purchased a refurbished/reconditioned laptop from the pc world/currys/dixons website. They got some good deals on there and lot of them still come with xp or xp pro/media centre which is what I prefer as don't want vista. It's just that after reading their ad it says that all the laptops are either clearance stock or ones that have been returned by consumers within 28 days. I notice that the Acers, HP's and phillips are all sold out leaving only the packard bell and advent (same company) and Compaq. I don't want a packard bell or advent as have had 2 of their machines before and they were crap crap crap and don't tell me to try Dell. Are Compaq any good.

I checked on Gateway's website and it said that the MD73 models are eligible, but I am not sure if being refurbished takes away eligibility.
